Confession of The Happiest Husband On One Never Ending Honeymoon

Our first “date” was to talk about business, admittedly, an excuse for me to spend time with the most amazing woman I’d ever met. Without warning flags, how could I have known about the undertow? Two weeks and several dates later, this female force of nature showed up for our date with a gift – a lovely, little, red jewelry box containing two folded pieces of paper. On the first was written, I love you. “Awwww”… The second when unfolded revealed the word “YES”. Head swimming, I asked. “To what question is this the answer?” Almost before I was finished she answered: “Any important question you ask.” And that’s how, six weeks after we met, we were married and headed not on a honeymoon, but toward starting our first entrepreneurial venture together.

I was 63 and just finishing a decade running a sweet but financially struggling small business (yoga studio), and 38 year-old Olga was a VP of Marketing for a tech company (a job that was very stressful). There was no reason to continue wasting time at jobs that kept us apart all day and didn’t fulfill us, so we decided to work together, create value combining our passions and knowledge, so we could play together and work to live rather than live to work.

But as I said, I hadn’t counted on the undertow. I died many times as I was helplessly drawn into her and drowned again and again in her unconditional love. Each time I revived I was reborn healthier, more vital, optimistic, productive, humble…

And now, just two years later, I barely recognize life. We are deeply in love. We pay ourselves more than twice what we were making before joining forces (running SocialAgenda Media and testing some other projects). We playfully travel the world and we are on a mission to help as many couples as possible do what we’ve done, become entrepreneurs living a great adventure together, in love, prosperity, fulfillment and ease.

In the tradition of intellectual brilliance associated with the term academy, The Couple’s Business Academy will be soon launched to support the art of living, the science of entrepreneurship, and the literature and philosophy of how to create more love in our world.
